Environmental Policy

Process Instruments (UK) Ltd and its subsidiary companies, Process Instruments (IRL) Ltd and SAS Process Instruments will foster a culture of environmental sustainability throughout the group because it believes that environmental conservation of air, land and water are morally imperative. 

PI is committed to maintaining environmental awareness by allocating resources, training, reporting and regular review of its policies and processes.

PI will:

  • consider environmental impacts when creating risk assessments arising from our work activities.
  • avoid the use of hazardous substances and ensure pollution prevention through the correct use, storage and disposal of materials.
  • try to minimise travel with the use of I.T. resources.
  • prevent environmental incidents, but if they do occur ensure they are reported and dealt with appropriately.
  • review and revise this policy annually to ensure continual improvement  identify and comply with all applicable legislative requirements. 
  • make this policy available to interested parties via our company website.
  • promote to all parties associated with its business, including suppliers and customers, the need for compliance within this policy and due consideration of the environment
  • provide information and training on environmental issues creating a culture of environmental responsibility throughout the company
  • use renewable resources in a sustainable manner, and work to reduce and minimise consumption of non-renewable resources
  • operate effective management systems including setting environmental objectives and targets, and by measuring and reviewing these, endeavour to improve the company’s environmental performance

The company’s stated aims for this year are:

  • To continue to operate to ISO 14001.
